Thanks, Jack. Yes indeed, some carefully chosen modern chips can do the bus interface job and that can really simplify building things for the Omnibus.

That's a great idea, to build a "Swiss army knife" debugging board. By the way, I do have dreams of adding more devices to the Douglas prototyping board. With all that space left, who can resist? :)

Very nice. I really appreciate you sharing the design details, especially in regard to replacing the DEC bus drivers.

Now how about a console addressable serial port on the other side of the card to make it a real swiss army knife debugging card?

A most informative and entertaining article. Good job well done! I don't even have a DEC and I want to build one :) Done a few S-100 cards along the way, though...
