Hi Flavio, Thank you for your kind comments. Yes, I think Dynagroove has been unfairly treated in some circles. I hope for a more balanced view of the technology. Steve

Steve, magnific resume of this technology, which, as many things, have been unfairly downrated by the audiophile community.

Thank you very much for your comments, Mr. Rafael. It is interesting to hear about an actual experience comparing spherical and elliptical stylii with Dynagroove LPs. For those (like me) who cannot read Spanish, here is a translation (courtesy of Google). I have attempted to clean up the machine translation issues:

I use elliptical needles, Except with RCA Victor DYNAGROOVE LPs, as these are designed to be played exclusively with spherical needles. Otherwise, with an elliptical needle more closely following the inner groove, a change in compensation becomes audible as the disc moves into the critical zone.

By using the sphere of the Dynagroove needle, the result is excellent. Unfortunately, most of the RCA Victor recordings in the early 60s were made with this system (including classical music), in the end, what it does is distort the sound when playing with high quality needles.

I think that was the only problem with Dynagroove.
